Triple-A-COAT is funded mainly by the European Union Horizon Europe programme. UK and Swiss partners are supported by their respective national research funding agencies.

Triple-A-COAT is part of a group of research projects funded by the Horizon Europe call HORIZON-CL4-2021-RESILIENCE-01. There are 7 other funded research projects working on other approaches for antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral nanocoatings:
