Due to the pandemic, Triple-A-COAT partners had not met all together in person until this point. So it was really fantastic to finally come together and form our new project team! We were also joined for part of the meeting by our EU project officer, on zoom link.
Project coordinator Hans Steenackers said;
“We were delighted to welcome and get to know all project partners in person, to experience the strong complementarity between the researchers and kick-start the project.”
Project partners, Prof Marina Rautenbach and Dr Wilma van Rensburg from Stellenbosch University, travelled to the meeting from Cape Town, South Africa. They said:
“We have travelled a long way, both in distance and in research time, for our work on ‘sticky tyrocidines’. We are excited to share our work. It was wonderful to meet all our partners and learn more about their work. We want to thank KU Leuven who did a stellar job hosting our first meeting in Leuven”.
